Candidate identifies an application project
that applies relevant Reliability Engineering
concepts and techniques in a way that will benefit
his/her organization.
|
 |
Scope of the project should be:
|
| |
 |
relevant to reliability course material,
|
| |
 |
able to be executed on-site where candidate
works, and
|
| |
 |
sufficient to demonstrate understanding of
the material.
|
 |
Candidate uses the required form to submit
a project proposal to the CRP Board for review
and initial approval. Please submit proposals
to the
ReliaSoft office that serves your region.
If you have questions, you may also contact

Form - (*.DOC, 52 KB)
|
 |
The CRP Board reviews the project proposal
based on established evaluation criteria (*.PDF,
68 KB) and the combined engineering experience
of the CRP Board members. If the proposal is
accepted, a Project
Mentor is assigned to evaluate the project
materials that are submitted and identify
any issues that may need to be addressed
before moving forward.
|
| |
 |
It is important to note that a
CRP Project
Mentor is not a consultant or coach. It
is the Candidate's responsibility to design
and carry out the project and to submit
materials for review at each stage.
|
 |
Candidate executes project at work site.
|
 |
Mid-way through the project, the candidate
uses the required form to submit a report of
the project status to the
Project Mentor
for review and feedback.

At project completion, the candidate uses
the required form to submit the final project
for review and approval. The paper or presentation
that is delivered in an industry conference
or journal in order to satisfy the
Publication/Presentation
requirement must be attached to the final
report.

The Project Mentor
and the CRP Board review the project to ensure
that it meets the specified quality standards,
including:
|
| |
 |
Project scope is relevant to reliability
course material.
|
| |
 |
Project is executed with correct principles
of reliability engineering.
|
| |
 |
Project demonstrates an understanding of
the course material.
|
 |
If the CRP Board approves the project, the
appropriate CRP credits will be granted. If
the Project
Mentor does not approve the project, the
candidate is informed of what will need to be
done to meet project requirements. Candidate
then makes any needed adjustments and re-submits.
